In Arizona

We are in Arizona! We are staying at the KOA in Flagstaff. We are going to rate this campground for all of its features on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.

  • kid friendly (9)
  • quietness (5)
  • bathroom cleanliness (9)
  • bathroom newness (7)
  • site quality (9 1/2)
  • beauty of campground (8 1/2)
  • employee helpfulness (6)
  •  overall rating of campground (8 1/2)

  • It has two play grounds, one for younger kids, and one for older kids.
  • It is beautiful, with its tall Ponderosa pines. The KOA even has a trail into the forest at the back of the park. I really like this trail because of all the wildlife, but it's not very well marked... and we got lost a couple of times, but we survived. :)
  • There is also a Kids Korral, which is a play area/game room. It has Foosball, Cornhole, cards, coloring material, lawn bowling, a bounce house, a splash pad, a basket ball hoop, darts, a TV and a few arcade games. I love the Kids Korral because it is a really good place to go if you are bored. And it is tons of fun!

Our next stop is Colorado, where we will stay at a Jellystone. Can't wait to check it out!

About Us

My family has four people in it. My little brother, my Mom, my Dad, and me.

Dylan- My little brother loves sports, his favorites are dodge ball, soccer, and basket ball. Dylan has a very sweet heart, and is very full of energy, which drives me a little bit crazy! Dylan is always full of jokes to keep us laughing.

Mom- My Mom loves to research, and she is very good at it. If we need to find a place to eat or something else she can find a great place in two minutes flat. She also loves to read, she usually reads at night right before she goes to bed because she says it relaxes her.

Dad- My Dad is very sweet, and he is a great people person. He can talk to anybody! He also is sort of our protector. And even if he is a bit over protective, we still love him.

Me/Leila- I love to read, draw, listen to music and write stories. I would say that I prefer a couple of really awesome best friends than a ton of okay friends.

Our Story

We are the Smith family from San Diego CA.

It all started when when my Mom and Dad got this crazy idea that we should sell are house and move into a fifth wheel. At first I didn't really like the idea, and honestly I didn't really think it was going to happen. But sure enough we moved into our new Cruiser trailer on September 25th 2015.

We didn't have our truck just yet so we were stationary at Campland on the Bay for eight months. While that may sound miserable to you, Campland is one of the best RV parks for families out there. With it's beaches, arcade, ice cream shop, fun playground, and pools,  it will actually be hard to leave.

After we got are truck, we did are first test run for one weekend. We went to Sweetwater Reserve in Bonita. It was overwhelming and very busy, but we did it!

Now we are planning are big trip across the USA.

Keep checking back for new posts about our crazy adventure!
